Turkish Minister and Turkish Airlines discuss tourism expansion

Turkey’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, met with the management of Turkish Airlines (THY) at the Istanbul Atatürk Cultural Center to discuss strategies for enhancing the country’s tourism sector.

The discussions focused on increasing travel demand and strengthening the contribution of air transport to tourism. Key topics included promotional efforts in target markets, expanding flight capacity through alternative markets, and adding new destinations to the airline’s network. The officials also addressed how regional developments impact air travel.

Minister Ersoy emphasized the goal of spreading tourism throughout the entire year and across all regions of Turkey. The meeting included high-level representatives from Turkish Airlines, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Turkey Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA).
