Turkish Ministry of National Education receives positive audit report

The Turkish Court of Accounts has completed its 2025 audit of the Ministry of National Education (MEB), issuing a positive opinion. The audit concluded that the Ministry’s financial reports and tables contain “accurate and reliable information in all material respects.” The Ministry managed a year-end budget of approximately 1.5 trillion TL, achieving a realization rate of 95.9%. The report noted that the Ministry employs 1,130,021 personnel and maintains an organization spanning 81 provinces, 922 districts, and 63 international locations.

In Karabük, local education officials met to evaluate the first week of the new academic year. Discussions focused on the ‘Turkey Century Education Model,’ school safety protocols, and student absenteeism. Provincial Director of National Education Akbaş emphasized the importance of school security, noting that safety is a collective responsibility of all staff under a cooperation protocol signed by seven ministries. Additionally, officials reviewed ongoing investments, including 12 active education projects aimed at providing modern learning environments.
