Turkish Ministry of Trade fines company over Tesla pricing violations

The Turkish Ministry of Trade has imposed administrative fines totaling 434,860 TL on a company following a citizen's report regarding a Tesla Model Y advertisement. The report highlighted that a 2026 Tesla Model Y Standard was being listed for 2,699,000 TL, a price exceeding the recommended zero-kilometer sales price.

An investigation triggered by the report revealed several regulatory violations. The company was fined 99,000 TL for marketing the vehicle above the recommended price and 200,000 TL for marketing two vehicles that did not meet the required six-month and 6,000-kilometer threshold. Additional penalties included 57,240 TL for failing to issue vehicle delivery documents, 50,000 TL for deceptive commercial practices, and 28,620 TL for failing to report a change of business address in a timely manner.
