Turkish MP Celal Adan promotes “Terror‑Free Turkey” vision

Deputy speaker of the Turkish parliament and MHP Istanbul MP Celal Adan said the “terror‑free Turkey” initiative has gained broad acceptance across the country and the region. He argued that the fight against terrorism imposes heavy economic burdens and that redirecting those resources to education, transport, infrastructure and industry would make Turkey considerably stronger.

Adan emphasized national unity, quoting “first Turkey” and linking the vision to the legacy of the 15 July 2016 coup attempt. He also highlighted Turkey’s improving relations with the wider Turkic world and called for continued cooperation among political parties and civil society.

The remarks were delivered at a party congress in Izmir’s Karabağlar district, where Adan met with business leaders and local officials, reiterating the ruling coalition’s commitment to the anti‑terrorism agenda.
