Ayvalık municipality accelerates road repairs after gas pipeline works

Ayvalık Municipality’s Public Works Department is carrying out continuous road and sidewalk repairs that were needed after recent natural‑gas infrastructure installations damaged the surface. crews have repaired and resurfaced streets such as Muammer Aksoy Caddesi, Abdi İpekçi Caddesi, the 3075 Sokak area and sections in Ali Çetinkaya Mahallesi, using local (Rotmix cold) asphalt and other strengthening measures. The work also includes renewal of stone‑paving roads and sidewalks. Mayor Mesut Ergin said the swift actions are aimed at guaranteeing safe and comfortable travel for residents and restoring the town’s quality of life, adding that the municipality will continue to work “without delay” to complete all needed repairs.

The repairs are part of a broader effort to address infrastructure impacts from the gas network rollout, with officials emphasizing the importance of maintaining reliable local transport networks.
