Turkish municipalities boost vehicle fleets with new purchases

Bodrum Municipality unveiled 15 new vehicles on 16 July, bringing the total number of vehicles added over the past two years to 48 and the cumulative expenditure to 152.236 million Turkish lira. The council plans to acquire ten additional vehicles by 2026, including service and maintenance trucks, as part of a 91 million‑lira investment to enhance cleaning, road maintenance and infrastructure services.

In Çorlu, Mayor Ahmet Sarıkurt signed a protocol with Trakyol İnşaat for the conditional donation of an electric vehicle to the municipal fleet. The addition supports the city’s sustainability targets, aims to cut carbon emissions and expand clean‑transport options under its Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan.
