Turkish municipalities complete hot‑asphalt road projects in Alaşehir and Van
Manisa Metropolitan Municipality has laid about 3,000 tonnes of hot asphalt on Fatih Avenue in the Alaşehir district, upgrading the road after strengthening the underlying base. Local officials said the work will make the street safer and more comfortable, and residents expressed satisfaction with the improvement.
Van Metropolitan Municipality finished a 7‑kilometre hot‑asphalt paving on the İçimli Mezrası road in the Uzuntekne neighbourhood of Çatak district. It is the first hot‑asphalt application in the area, replacing a long‑used dirt road and aiming to provide safer, dust‑free travel year‑round. Residents praised the change, noting previous difficulties during summer dust and winter snow.
Both projects are part of broader municipal efforts to modernise rural and urban road networks across Turkey.
