Turkish Municipalities Introduce Youth Tech and Communication Initiatives

Beylikdüzü Municipality organized a SMART TALKS session in which Dr. Meltem Başaran explained how artificial intelligence is reshaping professions while emphasizing that strong communication skills will remain essential in the future workplace.

Şahinbey Municipality held a workshop at the Mehmet Tekerlek Social Facility where participants aged 10‑18 used laser‑cutting and 3D‑printing technology to create their first fashion designs. The program, supported by local educators and the municipality’s mayor Mehmet Tahmazoğlu, aims to give young people practical experience with digital manufacturing and to develop design‑thinking abilities.

Both initiatives are part of municipal efforts across Turkey to equip young citizens with future‑ready skills in communication, digital literacy and technology‑driven creativity.
