Turkey municipal digital training

Overview

In early August 2026 municipal digital‑training programmes expanded further. Beylikdüzü Municipality hosted a “SMART TALKS” session where AI expert Dr. Meltem Başaran explained how artificial intelligence is reshaping professions while emphasizing the enduring need for strong communication skills. At the same time, Şahinbey Municipality ran a workshop at the Mehmet Tekerlek Social Facility for participants aged 10‑18, who used laser‑cutting and 3‑D printing to create their first fashion designs, building design‑thinking and digital‑manufacturing experience. Both initiatives, supported by local educators and municipal leaders, complement earlier efforts in Kahramanmaraş, Eskişehir and Ankara, reinforcing a nationwide push to equip seniors and youth with practical digital literacy, creative technology skills and social cohesion.
