Turkish municipalities upgrade dozens of local roads

In a series of municipal projects across Turkey, several local governments have completed or begun extensive road‑asphalt works to improve safety and comfort for residents.

Narlıdere Municipality finished asphalt resurfacing on Venüs Street, Yıldırım Street and Tülay Aktaş Avenue, with Mayor Erman Uzun noting the upgrades will provide "more secure and comfortable transportation" for the neighbourhoods.

Manisa Metropolitan Municipality renewed a 4.5‑kilometre rural link in Şehzadeler district, covering Selimşahlar, Tilkisüleymaniye and Yeniköy villages with cold‑asphalt surfacing. Project manager Mehmet Göker said the work will ease farmers’ transport of produce.

Nazilli Municipality launched asphalt renewal on ten streets in the Şirinevler and Çapahasan quarters, including streets 274, 272, 270, 859, 276, 861, 873, 875, 877 and 881. Mayor Dr. Ertuğrul Tetik highlighted the plan to modernise the area’s upper‑structure and enhance travel comfort.

Aydın Metropolitan Municipality began widening and resurfacing the road serving Yenipazar’s Mestanlar neighbourhood, adding asphalt layers and line markings to create a safer, more comfortable route. Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu affirmed that similar upgrades are proceeding throughout all 17 districts of the province.
