Turkish municipalities launch free autism education and women‑children health workshops

The Gediz municipality in Kütahya province will start a free "Movement Education" program for autistic individuals aged 7 and older on 1 July. Held at the town’s Youth Center, the daily sessions (10:00‑12:00, Monday‑Friday) aim to improve muscle strength, balance, coordination, motor skills, confidence and social interaction under specialist supervision.

In Selçuk, the Efes municipality, together with TAPV and UCİM, will hold two free workshops on 1 July: a women’s health discussion and a "Body Rights" workshop for children aged 5‑8. The women’s session focuses on body awareness and health information, while the children’s workshop teaches personal boundaries and safety through games, books and art. Both initiatives are part of the municipalities’ ongoing social‑service programmes.
