Turkish municipalities open free summer sports and tech courses for children

The Konya Metropolitan Municipality announced registration for its annual Yaz Spor Okulları (Summer Sports Schools) for children aged 6‑16 in 28 out‑of‑center districts. Registrations run from 22 June to 3 July 2026 via sporkonya.com, with classes beginning on 6 July.

In partnership with the T3 Foundation, Konya also launched a free Summer Technology School for 5th‑ and 6th‑grade students. Applications and interviews are open until 3 July, selecting 24 participants for a six‑week program that starts on 13 July and covers algorithms, Arduino programming, electronics and mechanics.

Ankara’s Altındağ district began enrolling children for free summer sport courses covering football, karate, wrestling, gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, judo and other activities. Registrations are accepted from 17 June to 30 June, with courses commencing in early July.

Kayseri’s Melikgazi district opened enrollment for free summer courses for children aged 7‑14 across 17 branches and 18 facilities, offering sports, music, arts, crafts, games and personal‑development classes. Registrations are open now and courses start on 1 July.
