Turkish municipalities launch new adult and youth sports courses

Turgutlu Municipality in Turkey has opened its first swimming course for adult men. The program will run at the Mimar Ferdi Zeyrek Sports Complex on Wednesdays and Fridays from 21:30 to 22:30, with additional free‑swim practice sessions on several evenings and Sundays. The initiative is part of the council's effort to make sport accessible to all age groups.

Muratpaşa Municipality announced that registrations for its 2026 summer sports schools will begin on 1 July. The schools will offer 23 different disciplines for children and adults, including team sports such as football, volleyball and basketball, racket sports, combat sports, water sports, fitness classes and even archery and orienteering. Courses will start on 13 July at the recently opened Deniz Baykal Sports Complex. Both projects aim to increase community participation in physical activity.
