Turkish municipalities ramp up street and canal cleaning in Aydın and Bursa provinces

Municipal cleaning crews in Turkey's Aydın province continue intensive sanitation work in the district of Germencik. Teams from the Germencik Municipality are clearing streets, sidewalks, parks and other public spaces on a continuous basis, aiming to improve hygiene and the visual appeal of the area.

In the neighbouring Bursa province, Yıldırım Municipality has completed a detailed cleaning of the Selçukbey Canal that runs through the Mimarsinan, Selçukbey and Siteler neighbourhoods. The operation removed weeds, litter and washed the channel, while the municipality’s cleaning department also reported regular street sweeping, grass cutting and litter collection across the district. Mayor Oktay Yılmaz praised the staff, saying the teams work “aralıksız” (without interruption) to keep the city clean.

Both municipalities emphasized the importance of resident cooperation to maintain clean public spaces and promote a healthier environment.
