Manisa municipality upgrades key roads with new asphalt projects

Manisa Büyükşehir Belediyesi has launched extensive road‑renovation works across the province. Along the 7‑kilometre Akhisar‑Mecidiye corridor and a 2‑kilometre stretch in Yeni Harmandalı, crews began cold‑asphalt resurfacing, using 65 tonnes of emulsion and 650 tonnes of gravel to improve durability for heavy‑traffic industrial routes. The municipality’s road‑construction director Ali İhsan Ören said the work follows Mayor Besim Dutlulu’s directives and aims to extend road life and enhance safety for local residents.

A separate project connects the villages of Tütenli (Akhisar) and Ilyaslar (Kırkağaç) with a 3.5‑kilometre asphalted road, also part of the municipality’s ongoing programme to raise rural transport standards. Local officials highlighted community appreciation for the improvements.

In Adıyaman, the municipality’s Fen İşleri Department continues road‑maintenance and resurfacing in several neighbourhoods, applying hot‑asphalt patches and sealings to restore damaged streets and improve urban mobility.
