Turkish officials call for solidarity with Gaza during Eid celebrations

AK Party deputy Ahmet Büyükgümüş addressed a gathering in Yalova, stating that the party will focus on the people's welfare rather than opposition disputes and reaffirmed Turkey's mission to be a global voice for the oppressed, citing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and developments in Turkestan.

Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Numan Kurtulmuş also used the occasion of the Eid al-Adha holidays to urge Turkish citizens to stand with those suffering under occupation, emphasizing the humanitarian, moral and Islamic responsibility to support Gaza. He linked the holiday’s spirit of generosity to national unity and called for a peaceful, just resolution to the conflict.
