Turkish officials reaffirm commitment to martyr families and veterans

Turkish political leaders and veteran associations have reaffirmed their commitment to the rights and welfare of martyr families and veterans. AK Party Deputy Chairperson Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya stated during a 'National Solidarity and Loyalty Meeting' that the rights of these individuals will not be subject to political negotiations or bargaining in any process. She emphasized that providing support in areas such as employment, education, health, and social security is a state obligation and a moral responsibility.

Separately, leaders of martyr family and veteran associations visited the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to express gratitude to the National Defense Commission, led by Chairman Hulusi Akar. The visit followed the passage of a law on August 9, with association heads thanking President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Hulusi Akar, and other officials for the legislative progress. The associations expressed hope for continued work to resolve remaining issues facing these groups.
