CHP's Bülent Kuşoğlu discusses Kılıçdaroğlu's political future

Bülent Kuşoğlu, Deputy Chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP), has addressed the political future of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu following his reinstatement as party leader. Kuşoğlu stated that while Kılıçdaroğlu remains committed to his previous promise of leading the party to a 'safe harbor' before handing it over to 'capable hands,' it is unlikely that Kılıçdaroğlu will seek the presidency again.

Kuşoğlu noted that a leader announcing their departure prematurely can cause internal factionalism and make the party unmanageable. He emphasized that the Turkish opposition possesses many qualified individuals capable of running for the presidency and should not struggle to find new candidates.

Additionally, Kuşoğlu commented on regional security, expressing support for the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement between Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan. He described the pact as a strategic and correct step for regional stability in response to shifting dynamics in the Middle East.
