Turkish pentathletes Ilke Özyüksel Mihrioğlu and Sıdal Aslan advance to semifinals in Istanbul
The 2026 European Senior Modern Pentathlon Championships are being held at the Burhan Felek Sports Complex in Istanbul. In the women's competition, 30 athletes contested each of Groups A and B.
Turkey's Ilke Özyüksel Mihrioğlu topped Group A with 1,443 points, finishing seventh and securing a place in the semifinals. In Group B, Sıdal Aslan earned 1,403 points, placing 17th and also advancing. The women's semifinals are scheduled for Thursday, 6 August, with the men's elimination rounds to follow the next day.
A full list of semifinalists includes athletes from Belarus, Great Britain, Italy, Russia, Switzerland, Hungary, France, Poland, Sweden, Ukraine and Lithuania, alongside the two Turkish competitors.
