Turkish police carry out mass security checks in Tekirdağ and Antalya

In the coastal district of Süleymanpaşa, Tekirdağ, police units conducted a six‑kilometre beach security operation, questioning about 600 individuals, inspecting vehicles, and searching abandoned structures along the Değirmenaltı and Alkaya shoreline. The operation involved land police, a rapid response unit, traffic police, and marine police, which patrolled the sea side to support the checks.

In Antalya, Governor Hulusi Şahin reported that during June 475,054 drivers were inspected, resulting in 92,573 fines and the removal of 2,847 vehicles from traffic. The province also recorded 11,660 public‑order incidents, the capture of 5,911 wanted persons, and seizures of firearms, knives, narcotics and other contraband as part of broader security actions.
