Turkish police carry out wide‑range 'huzur' operations in Bursa and Tekirdağ
In the western province of Bursa, police coordinated a large‑scale "huzur" (public order) sweep in the Kestel and Gürsu districts. The operation resulted in the arrest of 14 wanted persons, the seizure of 6.40 g of methamphetamine and 3.34 g of ecstasy, and traffic checks on 376 vehicles that generated fines totaling about 556,000 TL. Additional investigations included 947 UYAP identity checks, 199 vehicle inspections and penalties for 20 drivers, as well as inspections of public workplaces.
Separately, the Tekirdağ provincial police conducted a beach‑focused "huzur" drive on Değirmenaltı shoreline in Süleymanpaşa. Officers warned beachgoers against open fires, loud music and explosive devices, and distributed brochures outlining administrative fines that range from 1,764 TL for minor violations to up to 191,867 TL for commercial noise offenses. The police emphasized continued patrols throughout the summer season and urged citizens to report disturbances via the 112 emergency line.
