Turkish police conduct major narcotics and crime operations in Niğde and Manisa
Law enforcement agencies in Niğde and Manisa, Turkey, have conducted extensive operations targeting narcotics, smuggling, and various criminal activities.
In Niğde, joint operations by the Provincial Police and Gendarmerie resulted in legal action against 349 individuals. Authorities arrested 29 wanted persons and saw 6 individuals sent to prison. Seized items included several firearms, ammunition, motorcycles, and a car. Narcotics investigations led to the arrest of 5 suspects, with seizures including over 514 grams of methamphetamine, cannabis, cocaine, and ecstasy. Additionally, 48 foreign nationals were processed for migrant smuggling, and forensic evidence helped identify 11 suspects in various crimes, including illegal excavations and traffic incidents.
In the Turgutlu district of Manisa, a coordinated narcotics operation led to the arrest of 10 suspects. Following searches of residences, police seized approximately 80.83 grams of methamphetamine, synthetic pills, 135,155 Turkish Lira in cash, and an unlicensed handgun. Of the 10 suspects detained, 6 were formally arrested and sent to prison, while 4 were released under judicial control.
