Turkish police raids in Kozan uncover drug dealers and multiple fugitives

In a series of shock inspections conducted from June 1‑8 in Kozan, a district of Adana Province, Turkish police seized a pistol, confiscated four modified vehicles and blocked 11 cars and five motorcycles from traffic. Officers also seized 102.16 g of narcotics and 51 tablets of warning‑type pills, and arrested four identified drug sellers.

The operation led to the detention of five individuals wanted for various crimes, including fraud, theft, extortion, and assault, each serving sentenced prison terms. In total, 74 motorcyclists received fines for traffic violations, and the police actions involved 147 officers across 28 locations.

The crackdown highlights ongoing efforts by the Kozan District Police Directorate to combat drug trafficking and related offenses in the region.
