Turkish police seize 27.85 kg liquid methamphetamine in Erzurum

In Erzurum, Turkey, narcotics police carried out a coordinated raid that intercepted 27 kg 850 g of liquid methamphetamine slated for market distribution. The operation, overseen by the Erzurum Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and the provincial police narcotics unit, also recovered about 3,300 TRY in cash. A 62‑year‑old suspect identified as M.N.R. was detained, subsequently charged with manufacturing and trafficking illicit substances, and sentenced to prison.

Authorities emphasized the continued rigor of Turkey’s anti‑drug efforts, noting that the seizure disrupts the supply chain and aims to deter further trafficking activities.
