Turkish police seize 371 kg narcotics in İzmir and detain 18 in Ordu‑Samsun drug raids
In İzmir, a police operation coordinated by the Ministry of Interior, the General Directorate of Security’s Narcotics Department and the public prosecutor seized 371 kg of Skunk/Marijuana and arrested one suspect. Authorities praised the raid as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug traffickers targeting youth and public health.
Simultaneously, the gendarmerie in the Black Sea provinces of Ordu and Samsun carried out coordinated raids in Altınordu, Ünye, Atakum, İlkadım and Tekkeköy. Eighteen suspects were detained, and searches uncovered 173 synthetic pills, a handgun, 53 rounds of ammunition and three drug‑use devices. Seven of the detainees were ordered to be imprisoned, while the others were released under judicial supervision.
