Turkish police seize millions of synthetic drug pills in coordinated raids

Police in Kastamonu Province carried out simultaneous raids at four locations ahead of the upcoming Kurban Bayram, confiscating 9,187 synthetic ecstasy tablets, 49.46 g of bonzai, 12.89 g of cannabis, firearms and ammunition, and arresting six suspects.

In a separate large‑scale operation, teams from the Adana Police Narcotics Unit raided drug‑tablet production sites in Adana, Mersin and Istanbul. The raids uncovered industrial‑grade equipment—including blister machines, capsule fillers and grinders—and yielded about 4 million synthetic ecstasy tablets, nearly 4 tonnes of active substances, 27 million empty capsules, two unlicensed pistols and a kilogram of skunk. Thirty suspects were identified; 22 were detained on drug‑manufacturing and trafficking charges, while eight were released under judicial control.
