YENİ Parti leads AK Parti in multiple Turkish election polls
Multiple recent public opinion polls in Turkey indicate a significant rise for the newly established YENİ Parti, led by Özgür Özel. Several research firms, including MetroPOLL, GÜNDEMAR, SONAR, and Ank-Ar, report that YENİ Parti has emerged as the leading political entity in various election simulations, often surpassing the ruling AK Parti.
In the MetroPOLL July survey, YENİ Parti held 30.3% support before the redistribution of undecided voters, while AK Parti stood at 22.4%. GÜNDEMAR reported even higher figures for YENİ Parti at 38.58%, compared to 27.43% for AK Parti. While results vary by methodology and the handling of undecided voters, a consistent trend shows YENİ Parti in the top position and the CHP experiencing a decline in support.
In addition to political momentum, YENİ Parti has demonstrated strong financial backing. Party official Özgür Ceylan announced that the party's solidarity campaign collected 314,496,657 TL from 143,690 contributors within its first 15 days.
