Turkish Red Crescent honors long-time blood donors

Police officer Nizamettin Aktaş from Alaca, Çorum, has given blood 35 times over 30 years, receiving a gold medal and a commendation from the Turkish Red Crescent. He says he will continue donating until the age limit of 65, recalling how his mother's need for blood motivated his commitment.

Hasan Çırak of Espiye, Giresun, has donated blood 47 times across 14 years and was presented with a plaque by the Turkish Red Crescent. He stresses that blood donation is both a humanitarian duty and a solid example of solidarity, and he intends to keep giving as long as his health permits.
