Turkish Red Crescent introduces 4‑installment Qurbani donation option
The Turkish Red Crescent (Kızılay) announced that for the 2026 Qurbani (kurban) season donors can spread the cost of a sacrificial animal over two to four installments. The domestic voucher price is set at 17,250 TL, while the fee for abroad vouchers—covering 30 countries—is 6,350 TL.
Donations can be made through the organisation’s website, mobile app, 24/7 FAST banking system, EFT or direct bank transfers, and a dedicated phone line is provided for assistance. Kızılay highlighted a six‑stage transparent process: receipt of the voucher, donor notification, halal slaughter under veterinary supervision, canning of the meat, distribution via local branches, and a final post‑slaughter update.
Meat from domestic sacrifices is canned and distributed throughout Turkey, while cuts for Gaza/Palestine are also canned and shipped there. In the other foreign destinations, fresh meat is delivered directly to those in need. The scheme aims to reach millions of beneficiaries across the listed countries.
