Turkish Red Crescent Launches Neighborhood Blood Donation Drive in Seyhan
The Turkish Red Crescent (Kızılay) announced the "Mahallenin Gücü Kan Bağışıyla Büyüyor" project in the Seyhan district, aiming to increase regular voluntary blood donations. A launch meeting coordinated by the Seyhan District Governorate brought together local muhtars, Kızılay officials, and health authorities. General Secretary Ramazan Saygılı emphasized the campaign’s goal of fostering community solidarity and expanding the donor base, while District Governor Ekrem İnci pledged full support for neighborhood‑level donation events and incentives for the most active muhtarlık.
The initiative plans to organize blood donation events in each neighbourhood, involve civil society groups, and reward the villages that achieve the highest donation rates, seeking to make blood donation a habitual and sustainable practice throughout the district.
