Turkish regions push forward dam construction and urban road upgrades
In Ardahan Province, a delegation led by Regional Director Serdar Kotan inspected DSİ flood‑control works, including the Tetirtaş Deresi flood‑control facility and the under‑construction Durançam Dam. The dam will store 28 million m³ of water, enabling modern irrigation for about 78 570 deca of farmland in the Göle Plain and is also expected to generate electricity. The team also reviewed land‑consolidation projects covering 27 000 ha and new internal‑road networks.
In Çorlu, Mayor Ahmet Sarıkurt and municipal officials visited Kemalettin neighbourhood to review the ongoing upper‑structure renewal. The works involve upgrading roads, drainage and other infrastructure to provide a long‑lasting, comfortable urban environment for residents and businesses.
