Turkish Stars arrive in Bucharest for BIAS 2026 air show

The Turkish Air Force demonstration team, known as the Turkish Stars, has arrived at Bucharest’s Băneasa Aurel Vlaicu International Airport to participate in the BIAS 2026 air show. This marks the team's return to the Romanian capital after an eight-year hiatus.

The Turkish Stars will perform using eight NF-5 Freedom Fighter supersonic aircraft, supported by an Airbus A400M. The upcoming event, scheduled for August 28 and 29, is expected to feature over 200 military and civilian participants from Romania and abroad. Other notable attractions include the Italian Frecce Tricolori aerobatic team.

Organizers and Romanian Air Force personnel noted that the presence of these NATO allies highlights the international cooperation involved in the event. Public access to the air show is free.
