Turkish students win 15 medals in international science olympiads

Turkish students supported by the TÜBİTAK Science Olympiads Program have secured 15 medals across four international competitions in the fields of computer science, artificial intelligence, and geography.

In the 38th International Olympiad in Informatics held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, students earned one gold, two silver, and one bronze medal. The 10th European Junior Computer Olympiad in Kaunas, Lithuania, resulted in two silver and two bronze medals. In the 3rd International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad in Astana, Kazakhstan, Turkish participants won three silver medals. Additionally, students earned four silver medals at the 22nd International Geography Olympiad hosted in Istanbul.

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır congratulated the students and their mentors, stating that these achievements demonstrate Turkey’s rising strength in the field of science.
