Osmaniye murder case solved after 10-year disappearance

A decade-old disappearance in Osmaniye has been resolved following a murder confession on the television program ‘Müge Anlı ile Tatlı Sert’. Mehmet Çabuk, who vanished in 2016 at age 27, is now confirmed to have been killed.

İbrahim Ozan Düzgün, currently in prison for other offenses, confessed to killing Çabuk after an argument in January 2016. Düzgün admitted to striking Çabuk on the head with a hard object and burying the body in the garden of a house in Osmaniye. It was further revealed that Düzgün had been using Çabuk’s identity to evade capture for years.

Following the confession, authorities conducted excavations at the specified location, where human bone fragments were discovered. Investigations also uncovered that İlknur Düzgün, Çabuk’s former wife and Düzgün’s current wife, had organized a wedding in the very garden where the body was buried shortly after the murder. İlknur Düzgün and her mother, Selma Düzgün, were taken into custody following statements made during the broadcast.
