Turkish Tourism Minister meets with Turkish Airlines leadership

Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy met with senior leadership from Turkish Airlines (THY) in Istanbul to discuss strategies for strengthening the nation's tourism sector. The meeting included THY Chairman Murat Şeker, Director General Ahmet Olmuştur, and Deputy Director General Harun Baştürk.

Key objectives of the discussions include expanding cooperation to support tourism growth, launching joint advertising campaigns in target markets, and increasing travel demand. The officials also addressed the impact of regional developments on aviation and explored ways to utilize THY’s global route network to promote Turkey's cultural and touristic potential.

Minister Ersoy emphasized the goal of distributing tourism more evenly across all regions of the country and throughout the entire year. To achieve this, the ministry and Turkish Airlines plan to expand their institutional cooperation and consider adding new destinations to the flight network to support alternative markets.
