Turkish Traditional Archery Championships Qualifiers to Commence in Five Cities

The Turkey Traditional Archery Federation (TGTOF) will hold regional qualifying tournaments for the Open Air Bow Championships on 11‑12 July 2026 in Bursa, Gaziantef, Kocaeli, Konya and Tokat. The events cover the Mini, Star, Youth and Senior categories for both men and women, with athletes shooting at distances from 25 m to 70 m. Approximately 2,820 competitors from 50 provinces are expected to take part, representing clubs and individual shooters nationwide.

The top three finishers in each category will receive medals at ceremonies on 11 July in Bursa and 12 July in Tokat, attended by TGTOF President Cengiz Toksöz. Winners will qualify for the national championships scheduled for 1‑3 August 2026 in Kütahya (Mini and Star classes) and 15‑16 August 2026 in Amasya (Youth and Senior classes). All participants must use traditional attire and equipment approved by the technical committee, with no modern aids permitted.
