Foça to host 2026 CEV U18 European Beach Volleyball Championship

The 2026 CEV U18 European Beach Volleyball Championship is scheduled to take place in Foça, İzmir, from September 17 to 20. Organized by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality in collaboration with the European Volleyball Confederation and the Turkish Volleyball Federation, the event will bring together young athletes from 32 countries.

During a promotional meeting held at the Historical Gasworks Factory Culture Center, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay emphasized that the championship serves as an opportunity to showcase the city's sports vision and identity to the world. The event is supported by the Foça Municipality.

In other regional sports news, several Turkish clubs achieved success in national championships. Selçuklu Belediyespor secured second place in the U15 Men's Classical Bow archery category in Düzce. Muğla Metropolitan Municipality athletes dominated the Open Air Turkey Championship in Düzce, with the U15 Women's team winning the national title. Additionally, Kuşadası Belediye Spor Club saw success in the Yeşilay Muaythai Children's Turkey Championship, where Yılmaz Kaynak earned a silver medal.
