Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedow conducts state visit to South Korea

During an official state visit to the Republic of Korea, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedow held high-level meetings to strengthen bilateral ties and cooperation.

In one meeting, the President met with South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo. The discussions focused on elevating Korea-Turkmen cooperation to a new level, building upon previous diplomatic foundations. The Prime Minister noted that the visit marks a new chapter in the history of interstate relations.

President Berdimuhamedow also met with Cho Kuk, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea. The leaders emphasized the importance of parliamentary diplomacy as a tool for mutual trust and understanding. They highlighted the ongoing work of the parliamentary friendship groups between the Turkmen Mejlis and the Korean National Assembly, which have been collaborating since 2015.
