TEKNOFEST 2026 hosts 16 technology competitions across Turkey

TÜBİTAK, the Ministry of Industry and Technology, and the T3 Foundation are conducting a series of 16 technology competitions as part of TEKNOFEST 2026. These competitions focus on critical future technologies, including artificial intelligence, unmanned aerial vehicles, chip design, biotechnology, and quantum technologies.

The Quantum Technologies Competition has entered its final stage, featuring 142 initial applications from 535 participants. The finals consist of two categories: software and hardware. In the software category, 10 teams will compete in a 24-hour hackathon at Bilişim Vadisi to optimize water resource distribution networks using quantum annealing and hybrid methods. The hardware category finals will take place at the TÜBİTAK Gebze Campus.

Other major competition finals are being held across various Turkish cities, including Kocaeli for autonomous vehicles and Hyperloop development, Malatya for unmanned aerial vehicles, Ankara for vertical landing rockets, and Diyarbakır for aviation-related AI and biotechnology. Winners from all categories will be awarded at the TEKNOFEST event held at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport between September 30 and October 4, 2026.
