Tuscan Alpine rescuers rescue exhausted mushroom hunter

An 80-year-old mushroom hunter was rescued during a six-and-a-half-hour operation in the woods of Pratorsi, located in the municipality of San Marcello Piteglio. The man was found exhausted and cold, unable to return on his own due to the difficult and technical terrain.

Rescue teams from the Tuscan Alpine and Speleological Rescue, supported by the Guardia di Finanza and Firefighters, utilized rope maneuvers to reach the man and transport him via stretcher. Once he reached an accessible area, he was handed over to medical personnel. His overall condition was reported as good despite his extreme fatigue.
