Tuscany launches new Casa di Comunità Hub in Castiglion Fiorentino

The regional government of Tuscany inaugurated a new Casa di Comunità Hub in Castiglion Fiorentino, investing €1.8 million from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). The refurbishment covered about 800 sq m of the building on via Madonna del Rivaio, creating seven new ambulatory units with waiting rooms, medical secretariats, a CUP, service rooms and fully air‑conditioned spaces.

The ceremony was attended by Regional President Eugenio Giani, who presented a commemorative plaque to the family of former health assessor Bruno Benigni. Giani highlighted the hub’s role in extending primary‑care services, especially for elderly and chronic patients, and noted that Tuscany now operates 71 such community health centres, surpassing its target of 70.
