Tuscany Region launches aid for fishing and aquaculture sectors
The Tuscany Region has launched a FEAMPA call for tenders to support fishing and aquaculture businesses affected by rising costs linked to the crisis in the Middle East. The initial allocation of €238,440, funded by European, state, and regional resources, is intended to compensate for cost increases occurring between February 28, 2026, and December 31, 2026.
The aid targets companies involved in the marketing and processing of fishery and aquaculture products, as well as those related to vessel outfitting and aquaculture operations. Following a decision by the European Commission recognizing the situation as an exceptional event, the total funding could potentially increase to approximately €3.5 million upon approval of a new financial plan.
Interested businesses can submit applications through the DUA starting Monday, August 17, 2026, with a deadline of 1:00 PM on September 15, 2026.
