Tuzla Canton allocates 230,000 KM for forest restoration and protection

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Tuzla Canton has signed seven contracts totaling 230,000 KM to fund forest restoration and protection within the region. The agreement between the Cantonal Forestry Administration and JP Šume TK d.d. Kladanj utilizes funds collected under the Law on Forests.

Of the total amount, 130,000 KM is allocated to six projects focused on forest renewal, improving reproductive material through seedling procurement, nursery work, and seed preservation. Additional funds will support staff education and public ecological awareness campaigns.

A separate 100,000 KM project has been designated for the repair of bridges on the forest truck road between Maoča and the Maoča River in the Srebrenik municipality. These initiatives aim to improve forest management conditions and enhance protection against forest fires.
