Tuzla Canton environmental and forestry funding

Overview

The Government of Tuzla Canton has initiated several funding programs focused on environmental management and resource protection.

Initially, the canton announced 850,000 KM in support for hunting societies to facilitate wildlife conservation, habitat improvement, and the maintenance of hunting infrastructure. An additional 45,000 KM was also planned through fees from sports and commercial hunting grounds.

Following this, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management signed contracts totaling 230,000 KM specifically for forest restoration and protection. These funds, derived from the Law on Forests, are split between forest renewal projects—such as seedling procurement and seed preservation—and infrastructure repairs, including the fixing of bridges on forest roads in the Srebrenik municipality to improve management and fire protection.
