Tuzla Canton Government increases funding for hunting societies

The Government of Tuzla Canton has announced increased financial support for hunting societies to promote wildlife protection and habitat management. During the ‘Hunting Societies Days TK 2026’ event in Doboj Istok, Prime Minister Irfan Halilagić emphasized the year-round role of these societies in caring for nature, feeding wildlife during shortages, and maintaining hunting infrastructure.

For the 2026 fiscal year, 850,000 KM has been secured from funds collected under the Tuzla Canton Forest Law. These resources are designated for wildlife conservation, feeding programs, habitat improvement, and the construction of technical hunting facilities. Additionally, 45,000 KM is planned through a separate program using fees from sports and commercial hunting grounds to co-finance various projects.
