Tuzla Canton maintains new driving exam information system

The Ministry of Education and Science of Tuzla Canton has announced it will not abandon its new information system for driver training and testing, despite opposition from the state-level Ministry of Communications and Transport. Ahmed Omerović, the Cantonal Minister of Education, responded to Edin Forti, the state Minister of Communications and Transport, stating that the system is intended to increase transparency and efficiency in controlling driving schools.

Omerović criticized the state ministry for leaking official documents to social media before they were formally received by the Cantonal Ministry. He emphasized that institutional communication should be based on mutual respect and official channels rather than social media posts.

The dispute has left approximately 300 driving candidates in a state of uncertainty. To resolve the backlog, the Cantonal Ministry is verifying documentation from driving schools and Red Cross organizations to ensure candidates have completed required theoretical and first aid training. For candidates whose driving schools have not yet integrated into the new system, the Ministry has offered the option to submit documentation personally to expedite the testing process.
