Tuzla International Airport nears record passenger numbers

Tuzla International Airport is experiencing high passenger volumes, with approximately 52,000 passengers expected in August. Since the beginning of the year, the airport has served roughly 420,000 passengers.

Airport Director Dževad Halilčević noted that if current trends continue, the airport could see a record-breaking year. High demand has been observed for routes to Memmingen, Dortmund, and Basel. The airport currently hosts several airlines, including Wizz Air, Pegasus Airlines, Chair Airlines, Corendon Airlines, Air Cairo, and Freebird Airlines.

While the summer season has seen significant interest from both the diaspora and international tourists, a gradual decrease in traffic is expected as the airport transitions to its winter flight schedule, which will alter the frequency and number of certain lines.
