TV-aksjonen fundraiser to support refugees in six countries
The annual Norwegian fundraising campaign, TV-aksjonen, is scheduled for Sunday, October 18. This year, the initiative focuses on supporting people fleeing war and conflict, with proceeds benefiting NRC Flyktninghjelpen (Norwegian Refugee Council).
The funds aim to provide safe housing, tents, clean water, and sanitation for people in Syria, Afghanistan, Sudan, Chad, DR Congo, and Palestine. The campaign traditionally involves door-to-door collections by volunteers and various auctions, including unique items such as a World Cup drum and a jacket worn by Harry Hole in the TV series.
In preparation for the event, the company Computas held a workshop titled ‘Kode med mening’ (Coding with Meaning). Through a coding game where participants solve logic and mathematical tasks, employees raised over 50,000 NOK for the cause. Representatives from TV-aksjonen and NRC Flyktninghjelpen attended the event to discuss the importance of corporate collaboration in enhancing technical solutions for humanitarian aid.
