TV Globo launches new 7 pm novela Por Você

TV Globo’s next prime‑time telenovela, Por Você, premieres on 17 August. The series was created by writers Dino Cantelli and Juliana Peres and stars Sheron Menezzes as Dr Bela, a gynecologist who assumes responsibility for her best friend’s four children after a tragedy. The story explores themes of love, friendship, motherhood and personal sacrifice.

A launch event was held at the Edifício Touring in Rio de Janeiro, attended by the authors and most of the cast, including Lucy Ramos, Alinne Moraes, Renata Sorrah and José de Abreu. The production marks the return of several actors to Globo’s prime‑time lineup: Giovanna Grigio, back after an eight‑year hiatus, and Fernanda de Freitas, returning after five years, both taking on pivotal roles. The novela is promoted as a “realismo lúdico” that tackles contemporary social issues while delivering emotional drama for the 7 pm audience.
