TV Globo premieres new telenovela ‘Por Você’

TV Globo has premiered its new 7 PM telenovela, ‘Por Você’, starring Sheron Menezzes and Thiago Lacerda. The debut episode centers on a tragic car accident that results in the death of Juli (Lucy Ramos), leaving the protagonist, Bela, to care for Juli’s four children. The accident was caused by a driver named Juarez (Milhem Cortaz), who fled the scene, leading Bela to vow to find the responsible party.

In terms of viewership, the premiere recorded an average of 20.1 points in Greater São Paulo, outperforming the previous production, ‘Coração Acelerado’, which debuted with 19.3 points. Social media reactions have been largely positive, with viewers praising the performances of Alinne Moraes and the emotional weight of the opening chapters.

The premiere also marks the return of actor Thiago Lacerda to broadcast television after a three-year hiatus spent focusing on theater and streaming projects. Lacerda portrays Gabriel, a lawyer with a complex personal history.
